Going Organic!

After much reading, talking with Naty and watching too many documentaries......We're going 100% Organic. At the moment I'd say were about 50% there but our goal is to be at the 100% point by the end of the year. I want to start using natural products and being a lot more cautious for my family. Although the price of Organic is almost twice as much as Non-Organic, we think it's worth it for our family. I think if we ate less (like we should be eating) and gave up all the junk, we'd actually be saving money. Also, we'd be saving money on medical costs by getting healthy.

At the moment, we're growing zuchinni, cilantro, chiles, melons and tomatoes, our goal is to grow most of our veggies and fruit one day. So meanwhile, we'll look for Organic everywhere we go and slowly make the transition so it doesn't feel too pricey all at once.

Another thing that we'll be doing is reducing the amount of HFCS in our lives. I can't say that we'll eliminate it 100% but we're gonna try to stop buying so much processed stuff. I found this list that I can use when I go shopping but again, I won't be taking it out 100% that would be too hard and stressful to do at this time. Again, my family seems worth it so I'll do my best to keep them safe and healthy.

Things that we'll be doing are:
-Shop at our local Farmer's Market
-Shop at Whole Foods
-Shop at Trader Joe's
-Make stuff from scratch instead of buying canned

Those are some thing but we'll take it one day at a time

Here's another list that can help you save money on going Organic.

Big Girl on a Diet

That's me! Once again I'm attempting to get this extra baggage off me. I hate this off and on crap but hey, if I didn't do it I'd be a lot bigger. I think because I lose a lot of weight, then gain it back, then lose it again and so forth that it has saved me from going any bigger. I won't tell you how much I weigh but so far I'm down 9 lbs. The first 7 were from watching what I ate and taking it easy and the other 2 from my first week on weight watchers. I didn't do as good as I wanted but it'll do for now. We had a big BBQ for bubbs baseball closing ceremonies and I ate small portions but it was all bad choice foods. It's really hard for me to keep track of my food on the weekends so I'm thinking of holding a notebook with me instead of depending on my Laptop. I'm usually out and about and never on my laptop on the weekends so I think that'll work out better. I want to be at least 10 lbs. lighter by July 13th. Thats the day we baptize my nephew and I don't want to squeeze into a dress, I want it to fit perfectly.

As for the kids, Bubbs is still in school but he's getting out June 26th and I'm going on a fieldtrip with Bubbs school this friday. I'm dreading it but Bubbs is so excited about it.

Audrey, on the other hand. Is bored out of her mind and out of school still. WE don't go back till August so i'm gonna have to come up with something fun for them. Like library, park, walks, crafts etc. etc.

Our anniversary is coming up on July 19th so I've gotta make plans for it now. I'm hoping he'll be up to doing whatever but with gas prices we won't be going too far. Maybe TJ to get our tile for our bathroom but as far as anywhere else, its out of the question.

Audrey and I need to go to the market so I'll see u later. peace
